Yoga for Mental Illness

The Foundation, in partnership with two OSU Albert Schweitzer Fellows and Southeast Inc., a community mental health agency, is offering a sustainable yoga program for persons suffering from mental illness.  These classes, which include aspects of self- awareness, physical health, and social participation among group members, will begin in January of 2014. A key focus of the group classes will be encouraging individuals to become active members of their community by giving them a sense of purpose and belonging.  In Spring 2014, this class was opened to the general public as well to foster inclusivity and community.
